Lauren Gazzola is one of six grassroots animal rights activists alleged to have headed the campaign to close down the notorious product-testing laboratory Huntingdon Life Sciences. In May of 2004, these six individuals, along with the animal rights organization Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty USA, were charged with violations of various federal criminal statutes, most notably the controversial Animal Enterprise Protection Act (AEPA), a/k/a the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act. Known collectively as The SHAC 7 each and every defendant was convicted in March 2006 of each count in which they were charged. In all, Lauren was convicted of 6 felonies, and sentenced to serve 52 months in prison. This site has been launched to help support her while she is in prison.
